Dr. Suvaluck Satumanatpan has been applying an interdisciplinary perspective to examine the dynamic and complex social-ecological system, and recently she has integrated policy, governance and legal aspects in her research work. Her expertise covers a wide range of topics, including integrated coastal management, coastal and fisheries governance, marine spatial planning, adaptive capacity and resilience of small-scale fisheries, and evaluation of marine protected areas effectiveness
This background has enabled her to contribute to the development of several national policy papers for governing marine and coastal resources in Thailand. Relate to her experiences, she can contribute to the work under the governance for biodiversity and ecosystem management under the National Ecosystem Assessment (NEA) Project
