NEA-Thailand's works are carried out by academic from science and policy communities in Thailand. We work closely with UNEP-WCMC, under NEA Intiative to undertake our national ecosystem assessment. We also recognized supported by other organizations including UNDP, UNESCO. We focus our assessment on coastal and marine ecosystems as these ecosystems are main contributors to our economic and social development through their goods and services. We also recognized the need for sustainable management of these ecosystems for wellbeing of the Thai people and for the health of our oceans and seas.
We are now in the scoping phase. We aim to engage stakeholders throughout our assessment process to build a community empowered to make robust decisions for resilient ecosystems.
